Liverpool is reportedly interested in Fiorentina hotshot Frederico Chiesa in the summer according to reports from Italy. Tabloid Tutto Napoli reveals that the Premier League leaders have expressed interest in signing the 21-year-old in the summer.
It is understood that the likes of Juventus, AS Monaco, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Chelsea have all indicated interest in the youngster.
Jurgen Klopp is believed to be interested in boosting the attacking depth of his team and sees Chiesa as an ideal fit for the team. The German tactician is famed for his preference for a front three with his current options of Sadio Mane, Mohammed Salah and Roberto Firmino boasting of pace, power and goals.
However, the team lacks options apart from their famed front three. XherdanShaqiri has proved decisive in some games but lacks the consistency while Naby Keita is yet to showcase the form that made the club spend big last summer.
Chiesa ticks all the boxes for Klopp as he can play anywhere across the attack and can also be deployed in the number 10 position behind the striker.
Chiesa signing would also be a coup for the club as he still has room to add different aspects to his game. It is understood that the Fiorentina value the forward at around £80 million but Liverpool are confident that the Italian side would accept a fee of £50 million.
Chiesa has been impressive this season at the club and is the undisputed star player at Fiorentina. He has provided three assists while netting 12 goals in 36 appearances.
