Jurgen Klopp might make a move for Subotic in the summer

There is news that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp might make a move for his former Borussia Dortmund Neven Subotic in the summer.

Liverpool is looking to strengthen their defence at the moment, and Subotic will be a more than adequate player to fill that role.

Neven Subotic announced on his Facebook page recently that he is going to be leaving Borussia Dortmund after 8 years with the club. Jurgen Klopp has always been interested in the player, and he might decide to make a move for the defender.

The defender posted that he is fed up to be remaining on the bench for so long and that he wants to participate more on the pitch. He said that he likes to be playing and that he wants to help his teammates win games and that he cannot do this while staying on the bench. He admitted that he really loves Borussia Dortmund, but he just does not want to sit on the bench and earn money.

Klopp, who is looking for a defender to replace Sakho, might be tempted to make a move for his former player. Indeed, he has worked with the player during his time as manager of Borussia Dortmund and knew all his qualities. However, there are some doubts that remain around Neven Subotic’s fitness. He has been backed from injury only recently and has yet to recover his full fitness.

Going at a club such as Liverpool will require that you are at the peak of your physical condition and at the moment we cannot say that about Neven Subotic. In all likelihood, if ever he makes the switch to Liverpool he will be again be sitting on the bench, and we doubt that Neven Suboticwill be interested in this.
