Liverpool’s manager Jurgen Klopp said that it is not easy to solve Liverpool defensive problem just by signing new players.
He admitted that there is a problem at the back and that this will only be solved by the team collectively. He said that the team would have to learn how to defend collectively in order to stop conceding cheap goals.
Jurgen Klopp said that the media should stop talking about signing new players as this will not solve their defensive problems. Indeed there was news that the Anfield side was looking to sign Southampton’s defender Virgil van Dijk during the transfer window but unfortunately the deal did not materialize.
Jurgen Klopp said that if it were easy to solve their defensive problems just by signing a player, then he would have urged the board to give him the money to buy the single player that can solve their issue. But this is not always the case. He said that at the moment the team should learn to become dominant and not give away possession. Liverpool have had a frustrating summer with regards to the transfer market.
The Premier League new season begins in ten days yet key players that are supposed to boost the team’s power have not joined. Dominic Solanke joined on the first day of last month and then Anfield went on with the move for Andrew Robertson from Hull City.
So far the signings have been doing what is expected of them with marquee Egyptian star Mohammed Salah impressing during the pre-season games. The deals for Naby Keita and Virgil van Dijk remain long drawn battles until date.
Jurgen Klopp is trying to remain positive as the Reds believe they would get their targets this summer.

Former Liverpool stars Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, Steve McManaman and Daniel Agger are set to join the Reds squad in the post season tour in Australia, according to reports from the Merseyside.
The coach Jurgen Klopp added the ex stars to the team as part of the club’s anniversary celebrations. The four legends would line up with the rest of the 21 first team players when they play Sydney FC on Wednesday.

Former Chelsea midfielder and Champions league hero, Michael Ballack recently made a return to the club’s training ground and met with the manager, Antonio Conte to pay a warm visit.
Ballack, who helped his countryside win the world cup, being one of the top scorers in the history of German national team, played for the blues between 2006 and 2010. Ever since he left, Ballack had kept a close watch on Chelsea and how they fared in the Premier league.
After seeing the current team in a positive play pattern, he was so thrilled with their current performance and felt good to be back. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp believes that his team needs to improve their defending if they want to challenge for the title.
Indeed Liverpool has been criticized for their poor defending in the match against Bournemouth and their goalkeeper Loris Karius was the most targeted by critics.
However, the manager believes that it is unfair to blame the goalkeeper alone and that the whole team needs to shoulder the criticisms. He said that the players need to defend better as a team and not leave the defending to the defenders and goalkeepers alone.

Liverpool is experiencing a restructuring process with various staff members being either promoted or simply laid off and Michael Edwards is one of the personnel that has sustained a change in his role at Anfield as Edwards was previously the technical director of the club but was recently promoted to the sporting director position and JurgenKlopp believes that this switch will hugely benefit the club.
“This decision is hugely positive for us. It will make us better and stronger in managing the process of building and retaining playing talent at all age groups. Development is so important and it makes sense to have a position, within the football structure specifically, that focuses on where we can improve’’ Liverpool’s JurgenKlopp said.

Queens Park Rangers chairman Tony Fernandes has admitted that the team is currently looking to sign a new striker.
However, he was keen to state that this does not mean that they will be buying a new player.
Throughout last season, Queens Park Rangers fans have been calling for the signing of a new striker especially with their current pairings of Sebastian Polter and Conor Washington being unconvincing. Fans had hopes that Queens Park Rangers would purchase new forward players during the summer, but so far no concrete offer has been made.
Tony Fernandes stated that buying new players is not the only option for Queens Park Rangers as the team is also keen to develop new players. However, fans believe that there are not quality players at the moment in the QPR youth team at the moment and that the best way to improve the team will be to sign new players.
However, the chairman has stated that the Queens Park Rangers are still working in preparing the team for the new season and if they get an opportunity they will be signing a new player. However, fans do not want to believe in empty promises and are preparing themselves for a very long season with Queens Park Rangers. They believe that the management will not purchase any new players and that they will be playing with the same squad as last season.
